Toronto,
1872, at the foot
of Spadina Road. The site of the
original Oliver Lumberyard, the first wholesale distribution warehouse for
specialty hardwoods and softwoods in the city. Today, Oliver Lumber is the
largest lumber company of its kind in Canada, employing over forty people
in its offices, yard, and mill and serving customers all over North
America.

Quality is an Oliver
trademark. The Oliver yard, now
located in the west end of Toronto, stocks over three million board feet
of top quality hardwoods, softwoods and specialty products from all over
the world. Each shipment is carefully inspected to make sure it meets
Oliver's uncompromising standards.
We stock or import over fifty
different hardwood and softwood species
with a special emphasis on heavy stock in our large selection of North
American hardwoods and many imported woods. So whether the order is for
Red Oak or Purpleheart it's either in-stock or we can fill it in a
remarkably short time. We also carry an extensive selection of softwoods
that ranges from White Pine to Sitka Spruce as well as specialty products
like Keruing truck flooring, marine grade plywood and hardwood dowels.
Custom millwork is one more service that we can offer our
customers. Materials can be ordered rough, D2S, D4S or run to any profile
imaginable. At Oliver we have the technology and craftsmen to duplicate
even the most intricate patterns. We also have in-stock, products such as
D4S 4/4 Oak, 4/4 Birch and 8/4 Oak and D2S in Oak, Maple, Pine and many
more.
At Oliver we are committed to
customer satisfaction. It doesn't matter if your order is as small as a
few pieces or as large as a full trailer load, we can fill it - in any
combination of thicknesses, grades, lengths, or species you need. Oliver
is also committed to prompt, reliable delivery on any regular run and will
give special delivery on lift lots.
The bottom line is that Oliver
Lumber stands behind every order we fill. That's a commitment that made
sense in 1872 and it still makes sense today.
